We are a stone and hardscape crew based on Smokey Park Highway in Candler, west of Asheville. Retaining walls, patios, fire pits, steps, veneer, waterfalls and ponds, on the sloped lots of Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson and Madison counties. One crew does the grading under the work and the stone on top of it. English and Spanish.

What we are, plainly
No slogans. Here is what you are actually hiring.
1761 Smokey Park Highway, west of Asheville. We drive Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson and Madison counties, about 40 miles out.
The footing, the drainage, the wall and the flat above it are built by the same people, in the right order, with nothing handed off between trades.
We walk the slope first. Then you get a written number and the list of things that would move it. Nothing is quoted blind over the phone.

We walk the slope
Soil, water, access for machines, the height of what is failing or what you want built. This is where the price comes from.
A written price
With the scope spelled out and the 4-foot permit question answered before anyone digs.
Footing, drainage, face, cap
Each layer is finished before the next one goes on. The parts you cannot see are built first.
The flat above it
We grade the bench to shed water and set the patio, fire pit or drive it was built for.

Whether your wall crosses the 4-foot line
Over 4 feet tall, North Carolina wants an engineered design and a permit. We tell you which side your wall is on before we price it. The rule, explained.
When a repair beats a rebuild
Many leaning walls can be saved once the water behind them is handled. We say so when it is true, even when a rebuild would be the bigger job. How we read a leaning wall.
